La Scala Restaurant - Beverly Hills, CA - Sous Chef/Kitchen Manager (Beverly Hills) Upscale busy Italian Restaurant in Beverly Hills is looking for a kitchen manager with at least two years of full service, high volume upscale restaurant experience. This is a full time/exempt position. (Closed Sundays and Major Holidays) Your responsibilities include 1. Managing, supervising and training kitchen employees. 2. Ensure safety and sanitation (Food Safety Certificate) 3. Monitor Food recipe and quality 4. Conduct recipe, appearance, flavor, and temperature tests twice daily 5. Prepare and receive orders utilizing judgment to increase and decrease orders depending on peaks in business. 6. Monitor daily prep production. 7. Make hiring and termination decisions and/or recommendations to General Manager. 8. Good communication skills with focus on listening. 9. Ability to lift 50 lbs. 10.
